more than robots
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an organization that organizes robotics challenges for students all over the world. The levels of challenges include FIRST Lego League Jr., FIRST Lego League, FIRST Tech Challenge, FIRST Robotics Challenge, and FIRST Global. FIRST is not just a robotics competition however, but it unites people around the globe through their shared passion for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
FIRST GLOBAL
FIRST Global, created in 2017, was made to unite robotics teams from across the globe. Teams from around the world gather to compete, with each participating country sending one team. The competition is used to break barriers between different people and gather all participants under the banner of STEM. In addition, all games are structured around global issues and how they can be solved using technology.
In 2017, the game was H2O Flow, and focused on water. Participants had to separate contaminated particles from clean particles and deliver them to different areas of the field, ending with a climb.

Energy impact
Above is the official video explaining the challenge.
Energy Impact is the game for the 2018 FIRST Global Challenge. In it, teams have to manipulate cubes or solar panels around the field to score points. There are five different power generators where points can be scored. All of the power generators must first be activated at the Village Power Station. In the spirit of Coopertition, there is also a Coopertition power line that would give both teams points.
